Is the rate of autism increasing?

Is the rate of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) actually increasing? Dr Martha Burns explains in this video interview. “We certainly are diagnosing ASD more often,” says Dr Burns. “Although some people think that in part the increase is due to better diagnosis or earlier diagnosis, others think there is actually an increase in autism spectrum disorders, and it looks as though it’s tied to two factors”.
